Last night the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) got together in New York City to celebrate America's foremost fashion and accessory designers. Many celebrities rocked up in ever-fashionable black including Kim Kardashian in Proenza Schouler and Victoria Beckham in one of her own designs. Janelle Monae went for a cream cape with gold frogging and Tory Burch also went for gold (over pink and red) in her own design. Gigi Hadid in a Michael Kors jumpsuit looked stunning and Katie Holmes kept it simple in an olive green Ralph Lauren sheath dress.
The big winners of the night included Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen who won womenswear designers for The Row, and Tabitha Simmons for accessory designer. Betsey Johnson scooped Lifetime Achievement and Mansur Gavriel won the Swarovski Award for accessory design. A personal Lovett favourite (of this Lovett Lady anyway!) Pharrell Williams won the Fashion Icon award, although he arrived dressed down in a blue leather jacket and jeans, rather than his better-known shorts suit.
