Icons and Exhibitions

At the moment exhibitions appear to be like buses - you wait ages for one and at least 3 come along at once! First up is the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty show at the Victoria & Albert musuem in London.  The show was originally displayed in New York and has been brought over here and re-created piece by piece. I went to the show on Monday and can confirm that it is stunning. You can get up close to his creations and can appreciate what a genius he really was and - without spoiling it - the last room is spectacular...

Whilst you're there it's also worth checking out What is Luxury?, a free exhibition which challenges what we think of as a luxury item as well as the Swarovski Design Project, which features items designed by 3rd year BA jewellery design students from Central St Martins  Also in London over the summer is the Audrey Hepburn exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery. Definitely worth snapping up remaining tickets for McQueen now and pre-booking for Audrey to avoid any disappoinment. You have been warned!
