The '70's continues to be the Big Story at London Fashion Week. The favourite so far is Preen which has taken a more folksy, crafty view of the decade with patchwork, crochet, tiers and frills. All of which look fresh and modern, not too vintage and definitely not fancy dress! They also touched on Victoriana with a high necked and frill yoke jumper and frills on trousers. Preen, of course, also has its range with Debenhams - Preen/Edition - so let's keep our fingers crossed that some of this works its way onto our High Street!
Henry Holland, who has managed to create a successful brand following his beginnings with a range of slogan tees, showed another accomplished collection with oversized houndstooth checks and flares, and a gorgeous satin bomber jacket that this Lovett Lady has her eye on already! He also showed lots of coloured shearling used as trims but also as a full on striped sleeveless jacket.
Holly Fulton was having a party! Over-the-top feathers opened the show, big frills, appliqued roses, the most amazing leather jacket (another personal favourite!) and all topped off with drop earrings.
And so we leave London behind for another 6 months and wave hello to Milan and the big hitters such as Armani, Gucci, Marni and Versace!
