We're about to get very involved with Mad Men once again as we prepare for the final season to air, so it seems like a good excuse to look at the leading ladies...
Betty Francis (was Draper) Betty has had some ups and downs over the seasons. From her tumultous marriage to Don, to their subsequent divorce and re-marriage to Henry Francis. She's the typical dissatisfied 60's (now 70's) housewife who turned her back on her model career to be a mother and homemaker. Her signature style is pretty pastels, dresses and pearls. She tends to be a little behind the times (in dressing and thinking), so it'll be interesting to see how she handles the '70's.
Peggy Olsen Whilst she works up the corporate ladder her wardrobe remains pretty consistent. She loves a checked or patterned dress with flat shoes, pearl studs and a briefcase to ensure the men take her seriously.
Joan Harris (was Holloway) Joan knows how to work her assets and has literally slept her way to the top to become a partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. She always looks sexy and has the 60's wiggle skirts down to a T, she knows just where to place a brooch or pin to draw the eye to her best assets!
Megan Draper. As Megan becomes Don's unemployed ex she seems to be hitting the bottle and piling on the trinkets, both with equal aplomb. She has the look of someone who can carry a strong '70's floral to we're hoping to see her in plenty of them this season.
Trudy Campbell, who always looks pretty and super-sweet even when dealing with her husband's infidelities. Her look is pastels, floral prints and diamante jewellery.
So, there you have it. A quick summary of the leads and their looks. Stay tuned for any further sartorial developments!
