Well, we've just got used to the idea of the Spring stock landing in the shops and the Autumn Winter shows have already kicked off in New York! So what will we all be wearing? What can we keep, what will we need to buy and what are we going to be safe to take the charity shops..? We'll cover the shows and keep you informed over the coming weeks.
Firstly, after just a few shows it would appear the 70's are still reigning supreme. Tommy Hilfiger looked to Ali McGraw in Love Story, crossed with American Football Uniforms to produce a show that really shouldn't work but definitely does.
Silhouettes will remain flared and a-line, but the colours will become more Autumnal with Olive green, navy, chocolate and our previous predication, burgundy, looking fresh. Expect to see lots of knee-high boots with stacked heels by the end of the Summer. Lots of designers showed fur (fake or real) as trims but also patchworked together. Influence continues to be taken from the East with tie belts, Mandarin collars and Mao Styling a M Missoni.
