Ever since Kate Middleton walked down the aisle in her gorgeous McQueen gown designed by Sarah Burton, on 29th April 2011, we've all been inspired a little bit by Kate, whether we know it (and like it!) or not. Everything she wears is scrutinised, copied, and on shop floors within hours. The Jinyi Wedding Dress Company in Guang Dong China, had a version of her wedding dress on its mannequin before Kate had even left Westminster Abbey! Since then, we've seen an increased number of bridal styles which feature lace sleeves, overlays and bolero style jackets - all of which have been influenced to some degree by that stunning original. But it's not just the dress; her lace shoes - also custom made by the team at McQueen saw a rush of copies hit the stores. And even now, almost 4 years on, we're still seeing the affect of the Kate effect. She wore a gorgeous Robinson Pelham tiara, and there's been an increase in styles available at all levels and not just for brides. A quick look through any wedding blog will throw up a good selection of ideas with www.rockmywedding.co.uk being a particular favourite! Her earrings that day were also by Robinson Pelham and featured an oak leaf and acorn.
