Brighton has long needed its own music festival. Over the years several have come and gone. Who can forget the Essential Festival? Well most people sadly. The city is best known for it's annual arts festival which takes over the city every May and also for the famous Fat Boy Slim Big Beach Boutique Events, the second of which saw the city swamped with an extra 250,000 people - 190,000 more than were expected. Since then things have been a bit more low-key with events such as The Great Escape and Shakedown. This year however sees a new festival on the calendar. Wild Life is being held at Brighton City Airport (we have an airport..?) on the 6th & 7th June. It's been curated by Disclosure and Rudimental and features Soul II Soul on Saturday along with George Ezra and headliners Rudimental. Sunday sees the might of Wu Tang Clan and Mark Ronson followed by Disclosure. As well as the main stage there are a further 3 stages covering everyones musical tastes. Fingers crossed the weather will be warm and sunny (not raining and blowing a gale like today!) It might not be Coachella warm but we plan to dress like it's California and accessorize for the sunshine too with items from the Lovett & Co Summer Brights range. Turquoise always looks fab with a tan! Tickets are available for each day or for the weekend see Ticketmaster for full details.
